Slips from 5 hour Kazegama firings
These
Flashing slips were applied to greenware, bisque fired to cone 04, and
then fired to cone 9. At cone 9, ash was fed into the kiln via blower
burners. The kiln was then fired to cone 10. The top photo shows the results
on a vertical surface. The bottom photo shows the results when placed
onto a bed of sintered ash during loading.
